Katelynn Smith

Co-Founder & Registered Dental Hygienist

Katelynn is a dedicated dental hygienist with 16 years of experience in the dental hygiene profession. As a wife and mother of two girls, she understands the importance of family, connection, and creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and cared for.

Katelynn began her post-secondary education at the University of New Brunswick, pursuing a Bachelor of Science, before completing her Dental Hygiene Diploma with Honours at Oulton College. Committed to lifelong learning and professional development, she furthered her education by gaining local anesthetic certification at Dalhousie University in 2018.

Passionate about providing exceptional patient care, Katelynn is excited to bring her experience, compassion, and commitment to oral health to Root and Bloom Hygiene Studio.

Lauren Green

Co-Founder & Registered Dental Hygienist

Lauren has been in the dental field since 2012 and a dental hygienist since 2018, bringing years of experience and a genuine passion for patient-centered care to Root and Bloom Hygiene Studio.

Lauren worked as a dental assistant for four years in Alberta and British Columbia before pursuing her dental hygiene education in Ottawa, where she earned her Diploma in Dental Hygiene with Honours. Since becoming a hygienist, she has had the opportunity to practice in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick as an orthodontic and general practice dental hygienist. Lauren also gained certification for local anesthesia from Dalhousie University.

Lauren believes in providing thorough, personalized dental hygiene care while creating a comfortable and welcoming experience for everyone. She is focused on prevention, education, and helping patients feel confident and informed about their oral health.
